Prof. Michael Latzer launched the Media Change and Innovation Division in 2008. It examines the characteristics and implications of media change and digital transformations in societies. Our focus lies on the co-evolution of technical, economic, political, and social innovations within the convergent communications sector, encompassing mass media, telecommunications, and the internet. Central to our studies are the catalysts of change, developmental trajectories, societal consequences, and the governance of media change.
